The 68-year-old man fell into the hands of the Gulf Cartel under unknown circumstances. He was taken several kilometers off the coast by boat, had his hands and feet tied, and stones and other weights were attached to his body. The footage, recorded moment by moment by gang members, shows Fuentes being thrown into the water and beginning to sink. At that moment, a cartel member shouts: "Make sure you don't film our faces!"

The gruesome video ends immediately after showing Fuentes sinking into the sea.
